1.
CLEAN YOUR FILTER REGULARLY
A
dirty filter is not only unhealthy; it robs you of heating
and cooling comfort and efficiency. Left unattended long
enough, it can damage your heating and cooling equipment.
2.
KEEP THE AREA CLEAN AROUND YOUR OUTDOOR UNIT
Trash
and debris can collect on the outdoor coils and increase
your utility bills. It can also seriously damage your unit.
3.
HAVE A PMC (PREVENTITIVE MAINTENANCE CHECK) AT LEAST ONCE
A YEAR ON YOUR HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM
Think
of it like this: You wouldn't drive your car 2,000 hours
or 10,000 miles and not check the oil. Well, your HVAC system
runs more than 2,000 hours each year so get it checked.
This will give you peace of mind and help you avoid untimely
failures.
4.
DON'T PLAY WITH YOUR THERMOSTAT... SET IT AND FORGET IT!
Every
time you change the settings, you run the risk of damaging
your equipment by short cycling it, both in heating and
cooling, and it costs money each time you raise the setting
in the winter or lower it in the summer.
